The Flying Phalli

THE FLYING PHALLI, 2009 | household dust | 60 x 75 x 20 mm |

The original name for the moth was Phalaena, which was derived from Phallos. Early depictions of their abdomens were thus exaggerated rendering them as flying phalli.
